On Tuesday 17 March 2026, the CTFC and FMMF took part in the EFESC Annual Meeting, where we presented the new training programme developed within the SINTETIC project.
During the session, trainers were introduced to a set of digital tools for forest work, with a focus on:
◾ forest inventory
◾ log volume measurement
◾ wood quality assessment
◾ digital traceability
The programme combines theoretical content with hands‑on exercises, using both traditional field methods and the newly developed TreeScanner app. Designed specifically for manual operators with limited experience in digital technologies, the training emphasises practical learning and includes dedicated modules on TreeScanner’s capabilities for standing‑tree inventory, log measurement and digital traceability.
