On 15 May 2026, students from the Università degli Studi di Firenze participated in a field training session held in a stone pine forest in Cecina (IT), alongside local technicians and emergency response operators.
The training focused on the application of digital technologies in forestry, with a particular emphasis on their use in both natural and urban forest management contexts. Participants were introduced to mobile applications supporting forest inventory, tree measurement and stability assessment, wood traceability, and wildfire risk evaluation.
